I hate to blow our own trumpet [cue:sound of trumpet being taken out of its case and given a good polish) but…
One of our first posts was about a short animation we produced at Sheffield East CLC to explain Learning Platforms to non-IT people.
We’ve had loads of interest in it most significantly from BECTA, the government body responsible for IT in schools, who are now using it as part of their training for parents and non-school people. Oxfordshire LEA are also using it and we’ve had over 1000 views on Youtube now.
Yay!

Hello Electric Chalk,
I have viewed the animation on youtube and was very impressed. Could I have you permission to add it to our VLE CD for parents at Failsworth School?

Hello all
I came across a link to your video through Twitter today. Recommended by a colleague from Oxfordshire. Not at all surprised that so much interest is being expressed, it is a fantastic piece of work. I Hope your trumpet is suitably polished. I will be sharing widely with friends and colleagues alike. Best Wishes :0)
Cheers. What a nice way to start the week.

Thanks for this great resource. We’ve been using it to introduce the broad concept of learning platforms (i.e. beyond the learning management system) to several different stakeholder groups in our school district in Alberta, Canada.

Hi Cindy,
glad it’s useful and thanks for acknowledging it on your blog, too.
V pleased it’s getting an airing in Alberta. Mr Spleen always wanted to go to Canada.
