Microsoft – Critical thinking In the classroom
A PDF on developing information literacy and critical research skills from MS and ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education). Pages 1-13 offer a good introduction to why it’s not just a case of being able to work a search engine; it’s also about having a rational, inquisitive, critical mind.
Pages 20 to the end are suggestions for teaching critical web research skills for different school ages.
The bit in between is largely Microsoft selling the benefits of it’s own Bing-related search tools (which you can’t really begrudge them since they have sponsored the publication).
