I caught the last 2 minutes of Radio4′s Click On programme yesterday (series 7, ep2) and they were talking about the advent of affordable 3D Printers. I only caught a tiny bit of the discussion but it was enough to get my mind going. The picture they were painting of the future was really interesting, with loads of implications for intellectual property and the economics of production.
Warning: There are a lot of question marks in this post and not many conclusions!

What technology is sitting in your cupboards gathering dust? Not just the stuff which is obsolete, but the stuff which had huge amounts of cash and time lavished on it and then came to nothing.
I’m curious to know if there’s a pattern and whether that pattern can inform ICT strategy for learning.
